Government of Canada Investment for Ontario Aviation FirmPeterborough, Ontario January 23, 2013. Dean Del Mastro, Member of Parliament for Peterborough, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency of Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) , announced an investment in Flying Colours Corporation. “Our Government is committed to giving businesses and communities in Southern Ontario the tools they need to innovate and grow,” said Member of Parliament, Dean Del Mastro. “That’s why we continue to support companies like Flying Colours that are able to create jobs and compete and win in international markets.” Flying Colours Corporation was established in 1989. The corporation is a global leader in all aspects of aircraft completions & maintenance. “Initially opened to accommodate a growing aircraft sales and leasing division in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Flying Colours has grown into a leading aviation company”. The Government of Canada has invested a $900,000 repayable contribution for the corporation to expand its facilities and acquire new technologies to service a growing number of business opportunities arising from the expansions of the Peterborough airport. This business expansion allowed Flying Colours Corporation to pursue Authorized Service Facility (ASF) status with Bombardier Aerospace. “We are very honored and proud to have both facilities joining the Bombardier Authorized Service Facility network.
