Government of Canada invests in New Brunswick Software CompanyBathurst, New Brunswick February 19, 2013 The Provincial and Federal Governments announced that the firm Sentinel Systems Ltd. will be granted financial assistance. “This investment in Sentinel Systems will create jobs and new growth in the Chaleur region as well as New Brunswick’s information and communications technology industry,” said Premier David Alward. The firm Sentinel Systems Ltd is a privately owned company funded through existing revenues and select private investors. Sentinel is contributing to frameworks and standards that will shape disaster management in Canada for the next decade. “The support will help us continue our expansion across the country and move us closer to our goal of capturing part of the United States market,” says Denis DesRosiers, CEO. The firm will be granted financial assistance in the form an investment of $522,966. “We are definitely pleased with the financial and technical support we are receiving from the province and thankful for the confidence that has been placed in our small software company,” said Denis DesRosiers.
